Summertime. June Edition.

Welcome to my not so recent past... (such a slacker).

June was mostly fabulous, with some not-so-fabulous mixed in for variety.

BAD: I ended up with legs looking like this...
I swear I'm going to be the poster child for skin cancer one day.
This is a pure, unedited photo. It was THAT red.
My legs hurt just thinking about it.
I tried every remedy known to man. But once your sun burn is THIS bad...
Just give up, lay on the couch for a few days and wait for it to go away.

GOOD: We found this gem at the D.I. for 4 bucks.
I went looking for frames to re-purpose.
Clark went to the toy section. Naturally.
I got my first glance at the "begging-for-toys" aspect of motherhood.
All in all, a successful trip.

BAD: We lost our dear Lester.
 Clancy was devastated.

GOOD: We planted an herb garden.
Pretty much everything is dead now, but hey.
Delicious while it lasted.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST: Our First Anniversary.
How is it even possible I've been married to this amazing guy for a year??
Unreal.
Picnic up the canyon along the Provo River.
Bubbly in mason jars.
Celebrating in true Clark and Hayley style.

I have sweetest family in the WORLD. Yum.
Happy anniversary to US.

I don't know if Clark will ever forgive me in our whole entire lives, but...
I made him eat our cake.

I personally think he loved it. What do you think?

For those of you who didn't know...
I hated my wedding cake.
A ridiculous, un-measurable amount of hate.
You have NO idea how much joy the following action gave me.
"And THAT is what they call closure."

THE ABSOLUTE SECOND BEST: Special Olympics Summer Games.
I seriously love my girls.
Being a track coach was the best.

Sometimes, your team is lucky that your coach is a Medical Assistant/Health major.
Yay Me.
Yay heat exhaustion.

Sunburn round 2.
I shouldn't be allowed outside. Really.

It feels SO good to see your athletes progress.
Amy wouldn't even walk around the track without someone by her side at the beginning of the season.
Now she's running by herself.

Merrie showing everyone how it's done.
Gold medal winner right here folks.

Our not-so-much-winning-but-having-the-time-of-our-lives soccer team.

And let me tell you something.
Those athletes can break it down like no one else.
So grateful to have a husband who is so loving, accepting and supportive.
Clark and Merrie know how to have a good time :)

THE PRETTY DANG GOOD: Baseball.
It wouldn't be summer without it.
Clark's favorite part of baseball games...

Awesome seats.

June was good to us.
